Looking at a $200k at a Ivy and $100k at a public college, I wonder the value of a degree.
4 years time, one can learn how to start a business, assuming putting the $200k or $100k as a starting fund. One can be in a very good position, with that kind of starting fund.
TO become a professional trader, aka working in Investment company, one needs the most is the experiences to trade, which can be obtained by actually doing it. Starting with $200k and $100k, one can get a lot of first hand experience, then later, can move to hedge fund if really interested.
Or, if one wants to start a business, doing it is the best education one can get...
Only areas I see the value for a college degree are,
- Medical Field, Law (due to the regulations)
- Government (the criteria)
- Education system (not if you want to build your own school)
