Being a AMD owner, I have been watching the PC market very closely. Is it really true that PC, aka AMD (and maybe INTC), is dead? From what I have observed, a different opinion comes to my mind --- I think there will be room, if not a lot, to grow back up. Why?
First of all, let's see what does Tablets replaces? Laptop, right? No one will seriously consider tablets for serious computing or processing works. For example, my son has never liked the experiences typing up his essay on his Android tablets! So, to be more specific, tablets replaced the "toy" or gaming portion of a laptop. Any work that requires typing needs a laptop;
Second, AMD is trying to get enough cash for expanding into other product area. By then, it would be doing much better.
